Applicant Survey

  • What happens to my data during the online survey?

After your online application, you will be invited to take part in the online survey on your choice of study. The survey will be carried out via the online evaluation system used by Leibniz University Hannover, EvaSys, which is hosted by the Leibniz University Hannover IT Services (LUIS). Applications and surveys are carried out over different servers: that is, the information from your application can at no time be linked to that from the survey on your choice of subject. Your data is always sent over encrypted connections. Participation in the online survey on your choice of subject has no effect on the applications process for a place at Leibniz University Hannover.

At the end of the survey phase, the survey data is stored on a separate, non-public server belonging to the ZQS/quality assurance. Your data is anonymous and is thus not deleted.

  • Publications

The results of the applicant survey are only ever published by the ZQS/quality assurance in aggregated form as a report, one which does not allow inferences to be made about individual persons.

  • Description of the process

The processing of your (personal) data in the course of the applicant survey is represented in the process description “surveying of applicants for information acquisition during the selection of the course of study” and has been checked by the Leibniz University Hannover data protection officer. The process description is carried out centrally in the office of the data protection officer.
