Course Content:
Moving from university into the German job market raises practical and cultural questions: Where to find suitable jobs? What to expect in daily workplace communication? This interactive workshop focuses on what international students need most for a successful start: a clear career plan and effective job search strategies, grounded in an understanding of German work culture. We will outline the key steps of career planning and help you turn them into a practical action plan. You will structure your job-search activities and practice networking and outreach. We will also cover work culture essentials like meetings, feedback, hierarchy, and communication norms to help you collaborate confidently. Application documents (CV and cover letter) are addressed only briefly; for in-depth support, please refer to the Career Service’s dedicated application workshops. The workshop will be held in English.
