Applicant Survey

Data on the available information, advice on the choice of study and the interests of applicants are gathered through the Applicant Survey. The results of the survey are used for the continuous adjustment and/or development of the information and advice offered by Leibniz University Hannover to fit the needs of the applicants.

Information on the survey

The applicant survey has been carried out every year since 2013 in the winter semester by the ZQS/Quality Assurance. It is aimed at those who apply to study at Leibniz University Hannover using the University’s online portal. The survey is a quality assurance measure intended to ensure that Leibniz University Hannover systematically provides the information which the applicants need to select their course of study.

The results of the survey are provided yearly to the university management, the faculties and the central facilities. 

Content of the survey

Applicants are asked about their reasons for being interested in studying at Leibniz University Hannover and about how they gather information while choosing a course of study: Do they use print media, university rankings, the Internet, advice from Leibniz University Hannover? Which one do they use? How satisfied are they with the information that Leibniz University Hannover provides; what additional information would they have liked?
