Course Content:
Whether you are presenting your thesis, applying for a job, or working in an international team, effective communication is essential for success. And it is never too late or too early to start developing the necessary skills. However, the prerequisite is an open mind and a willingness to learn.

This seminar will help you in:

  • Learning techniques for effective verbal and nonverbal communication
  • Identifying and dealing with barriers that get in the way of relationships and teams
  • Understanding differences in intercultural settings and managing conflict
  • Building connection and empathy through active listening 
  • Collecting tips and tools for communicating with more confidence

The format of this online seminar is a combination of theory and hands-on exercises to optimize learning. A final word about the required level of English; if you are able to understand this text with ease, then you are the right candidate.

Learning Goals:
To develop interpersonal skills for effective communication for academic, job and personal success.
 

Study Performance:
Full attendance and active participation, independent involvement in exercises, reflecting on exercises and seminar content, presentation of work results, completion of possible tasks, independent preparation of content and materials (also between the course days).
